The Role
Reporting into the EHS Global Leadership team, you’ll play a key role in championing a strong safety culture across the organisation. This role centres on building awareness and securing employee buy-in to embed safety leadership across the business.
Additionally, you will:
  • Drive the established EHS strategy in alignment with the organisation’s global policies and standards
  • Develop the EHS Management system to ensure organisational compliance with relevant legislation and regulations
  • Lead the implementation of work safety policies, prevention and initiatives to reduce risk and maintain health and wellbeing of staff
  • Develop leadership, direction and focus for 4-6 direct reports
  • Manage asset loss prevention and risk compliance across all EHS initiatives
  • Provide technical EHS advice to managers and employees to support safe work practices
  • Oversee EHS data processes, ensuring accurate monthly reporting, maintenance of injury/incident records, and adherence to legislative requirements
  • Prepare EHS CAPEX plans to support asset-loss prevention and ensure effective maintenance of physical resources
  • Conduct EHS audits and hazard analyses to ensure efficient solutions are implemented
  
What do you need to succeed?
  • Strong understanding of workplace hazards and effective hazard-identification methods
  • Proven experience working within comprehensive EHS risk management frameworks
  • Broad understanding of compliance and compensation law for emergency/ incident management in large organisations
  • Proven ability to lead and develop remote, diverse teams and a capacity to resolve complex issues
  • Exposure to mergers and acquisitions within large-scale organisations will be highly regarded
  • Proven experience driving project implementation across EHS initiatives
  • Building Fire Safety Advisor, Return to Work Coordinator and Advanced First Aid qualifications (desirable)
