The Company
Based in the corporate head office, this is an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Coordinator/Officer to join a reputable NFP organisation that really looks after their employees. The company is based in the CBD/East Melbourne and boast lovely modern offices which makes coming into work a little easier... with some flexibility for you to work from the comfort of your own home too!
The Role
Reporting to the Human Resources Director and working closely with a high performing HR team, your main responsibility will be to provide high quality HR operational, administrative and system support to the department and the wider business.
Your main duties will include:
- Prepare employee documents such as contracts and letters using Employment Hero
- Manage HR inboxes and phone lines and respond to HR queries
- Perform recruitment activities including advertising jobs and scheduling interviews
- Act as a systems expert for Employment Hero and manage onboarding, offboarding and system improvements
- Coordinate new starter and exit processes
- Ensure compliance with police checks, Working with Children Checks, and right to work requirements
- Organise induction sessions for new employees
- Help plan and coordinate HR events, staff lunches and celebrations
- Fortnightly payroll administration tasks
- Support the wider HR team with various administrative tasks
What do I need to be successful?
- Proven experience in a HR Administrator/Coordinator/Officer position within a corporate environment
- Degree qualified in HR or working towards would be highly desirable
- Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills and exposure to HR systems preferably Employment Hero
- Ability to build positive relationships, negotiate and problem solve
- A flexible team player with a professional and mature approach
