Based in the corporate head office, there is an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join a highly regarding not for profit that makes a genuine difference in people's lives. The company is based in the CBD/East Melbourne that have very lovely and modern offices which makes coming into work a little easier, with some flexibility for you to work from the comfort of your own home too!
The Role
Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality HR advice and support to managers and employees across the commercial business unit. This is a hands-on, varied role where you will partner with stakeholders to drive engagement, build capability, and foster a positive workplace culture.
Your main responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Support the development and implementation of HR frameworks, policies and procedures
- Build organisational capability, and attract, develop and retain talent
- Provide a high level of generalist and employee relations support and advice
- Build trusted relationships to foster collaboration between management and employees
- Provide coaching and support to business areas on HR matters
- Provision of Organisational Development & L&D Services
- Assist with the resolution of employee relations issues and conduct objective investigations
- Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws, policies, and procedures
- Provide general HR team support, including responding to internal and external HR-related enquiries
What will I need to succeed?
- Proven experience in a generalist or HR Business Partner role
- Strong knowledge of contemporary HR practices and employment legislation
- A degree or post-graduate qualification in HR/ER or related discipline
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
- Sound judgment, professionalism, and discretion when handling sensitive information
- A resourceful, hands-on approach with plenty of common sense
- A passion for creating an inclusive and people-focused workplace culture
