The Role
Our client are seeking a vibrant and innovative Head of Sales to lead the sales team, drive regional sales growth, and strengthen customer relationships across New Zealand.

You will work closely with the Managing Director and other key stakeholders, to ensure a seamless execution of commercial strategies, distribution and pricing, market expansion and customer excellence, whilst mentoring the sales team to success.
Your main responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of Account Managers to achieve sales targets and maximise regional growth
  • Ensure effective execution of sales strategies and customer relationship management
  • Monitor sales performance, identify improvement areas and implement new strategies
  • Attend regional market visits, industry events, grower days to engage with key customers
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts for inventory, product availability and distribution planning
  • Lead CRM system implementation and continuous improvement
  • Implement and manage sales tools and technologies
  • Provide market intelligence and prepare monthly sales performance reports
  • Identify consignment store opportunities to enhance market reach
  • Foster strong relationships with key customers, stakeholders, and consignment store partners
  • Adapt proactively to evolving business needs and strategic initiatives
      
What do I need to be successful?
  • Proven leadership experience in a Sales Manager/Head of Sales/Business Development position
  • Degree qualified in Business, Marketing, Agriculture or related field
  • Experience within the agricultural and nutrient sectors is highly desirable
  • A strong understanding of sales process, market dynamics and CRM
  • Demonstrated success in building high performing sales teams
  • An inspiring leader who empowers, motivates, and brings out the best in their team!
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Results-oriented, analytical and strategic thinker
  • Passionate about agriculture, sustainability and customer success
