About The Company
Our client is a globally recognised leader in commodities, with operations spanning globally with a strong reputation for innovation, sustainability, and excellence. Due to ongoing transformation, we are seeking a talented Finance Manager / Financial Controller to support a platform in their Australian team. You will be working in their head office based near Abbotsford, close to public transport with on site car parking.
What does the role entail?
Reporting to the Deputy CFO, you will have a key role in shaping financial outcomes for a critical platform. This is a unique opportunity to take on a broad finance leadership role with a mix of management accounting, budgeting & forecasting, fixed asset management, stock control, and finance systems oversight.
You main responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Deliver accurate monthly management reporting and financial analysis
- Oversee the budgeting and forecasting process in collaboration with senior finance stakeholders
- Manage fixed asset registers, capex reporting, and ensure alignment with accounting and tax requirements
- Ensure stock integrity and ERP/billing module control, supporting annual stocktakes and system enhancements
- Respond to audit queries and maintain compliance with AASB accounting standards
- Provide commercial insight on P&L performance, revenue, and cost drivers
- Lead and mentor a small finance team to deliver on business objectives
What experience is required?
- Proven experience as Senior Financial Accountant/Controller leadership role with a medium-large or global business environment
- Experience in commodities, FMCG, agribusiness or manufacturing environments would be desirable
- A degree in Finance/Accounting/Commerce with a CPA/CA qualification
- Proven experience across reporting, budgeting, and fixed asset management
- Strong ERP and systems knowledge (SAP/Oracle experience advantageous)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Previous leadership or team management experience is highly desirable
