The Company
Based in the corporate head office, an exciting opportunity exists to join a leading global merchant with a strong heritage in Australian commodities. The company is based in Abbotsford with modern offices which makes coming into work a little easier!
The Role
Reporting into the Senior Regional Manager, you will be responsible for driving the organisations global finance transformation project. With a primary focus on process ownership, improvement and standardisation across Accounting, Controlling, Invoicing and Cash, and Inventory Accounting, your role will be varied and stakeholder centric.
Other responsibilities include:
- Lead, manage, and implement global finance processes for the Australian finance business areas
- Actively partake in discovery phases of the project through scoping, identifying targets and reporting risks
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to successfully implement SAP S/4HANA and other finance tools
- Lead digital transformation using SAPs full suite of finance tools including ARIBA, Concur, Magnitude etc
- Influence and implement cross functional areas such as procurement and tax
- Collaborate with senior leaders to support respective finance departments, back office and front office teams expertise and project gaps
- Manage escalations, promote change management and drive adoption across rational accounting teams
- Lead a team of 10 - 15 Business Process Owners Specialists throughout finance domains
What do you need to succeed?
- Proven experience in finance transformation delivery/ IT project operations
- Undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Finance or Organisation Management
- Project leadership in systems implementation and process design
- Proficient in SAP FICO and S/4HANA
- Strong knowledge of accounting and finance processes
- International process design and implementation experience (desired not essential)
- Personable, friendly and agile demeanour with confidence to drive change
