The Role
Reporting into the CFO, the Marketing and Communications Manager will be responsible for planning, implementing and managing the communications and marketing activities across the organisation. This role drives engagement and awareness through media, digital, social and internal channels, shaping compelling stories that highlight the impact of the work that they do.
You will also:
- Develop and implement marketing and communication strategies that boost engagement and brand awareness
- Lead campaigns across programs, events and initiatives
- Oversee content and brand management across digital, print, social media, website and internal platforms
- Strengthen PR and media partnerships, coordinate press releases and secure coverage to enhance organisational presence
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the VET sector, education, government and partner organisations
- Manage budgets and report on campaign performance to guide executive decisions
- Mentor the Marketing and Communications Lead and oversee digital content and brand execution
- Write tailored communications for executives, board members, volunteers and partners, including proposals, briefs and spokesperson notes
- Produce compelling presentations, newsletters, case studies and impact stories that showcase success

- Proven experience in a communications/marketing/public relations/brand management role
- Skilled in delivering digital, social and print campaigns that make an impact
- A natural communicator with exceptional writing skills and a strong storytelling voice
- Confident building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Tech-savvy and comfortable using modern tools, including AI platforms, to work smarter and faster!
- A creative and innovative thinker who enjoys finding fresh ideas and practical solutions
- Experience within the not-for-profit, vocational education or events sectors is highly regarded, but not essential
