The Role
Reporting into the CFO, the Communications Manager will be responsible for implementing and managing the communications and marketing activities across the organisation. This role drives engagement and awareness through media, digital, social and internal channels, shaping compelling stories that highlight the impact of the work that they do.
You will also:
- Collaborate with the Executive team to implement communication strategies that boost engagement and brand awareness
- Lead campaigns across programs, events and initiatives
- Write tailored communications for executives, board members, volunteers and partners, including proposals, briefs and spokesperson notes
- Produce compelling presentations, newsletters, case studies and impact stories that showcase success
- Strengthen PR and media partnerships, coordinate press releases and secure coverage to enhance organisational presence
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the VET sector, education, government and partner organisations
- Oversee content and brand management across digital, print, social media, website and internal platforms
- Manage budgets and report on campaign performance to guide executive decisions
- Mentor the Marketing and Communications Lead and oversee digital content and brand execution

- Proven experience in a communications/marketing/public relations/brand management role
- A natural communicator with exceptional writing skills and a strong storytelling voice
- Skilled in delivering digital, social and print campaigns that make an impact
- Confident building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Tech-savvy and comfortable using modern tools, including AI platforms, to work smarter and faster!
- A creative and innovative thinker who enjoys finding fresh ideas and practical solutions
- Experience within the not-for-profit, vocational education or events sectors is highly regarded, but not essential
