The Company
Our client is an established and respected boutique public accounting firm located in a prime CBD location. Known for their signature integrated approach to business, they specialise in servicing small to medium-sized companies. Their comprehensive services include accounting and taxation, business advisory and bookkeeping.
The Role
The position reports to the Managing Partner and works among a team of Bookkeepers, providing end-to-end support to the firm's clients with an additional payroll aspect. The role has the option to be full time or part time, working four days a week. Perfect for an experienced Bookkeeper eager to contribute to a collaborative team within an established public accounting firm.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Prepare and reconcile monthly reports and insights such as Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet
- Record and reconcile transactions between related entities
- Complete month end journals, invoicing and bank reconciliations
- Execute payroll including superannuation
- Direct communication with clients and ad hoc tasks as requested
- Accounts payable and receivable
- Uphold ATO compliance including BAS and IAS returns
- Lodge payroll tax
What Do You Need to Succeed?
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper in public practice
- Institute of Certified Bookkeepers membership
- Bookkeeping related qualification preferred
- Experience with MYOB and Xero preferred
- Experience with payroll execution
- Good understanding of IT and strong Microsoft Office
- Strong interpersonal skills and a good team player
